Yva.ai wellbeing index (YWI)

Employees can feel wellbeing differently at different stages. It is often impossible to unambiguously determine the level of wellbeing or burnout by the look of employees. There are tests for self-assessment of stress and burnout, but they have serious drawbacks.

It is difficult to scale the test for the entire company – the results will be too subjective. In addition, it will be difficult for employees to pass it regularly.

To determine the level of employee wellbeing, the platform relies on more objective passive analytics - the analysis of employee behaviour in corporate communication sources, such as email and corporate messengers.

The neural network measures 17 parameters in real-time and retrospectively and evaluates employee behaviour patterns based on them.

Yva.ai wellbeing index is a result of analysis of the employee’s historical communication data. If there is no access to historical data, for example, an employee has just started working in the company, then the model will need some time to understand how the employee behaves normally. On the graph, you will see whether the system has enough data to build an accurate graph.

It is expressed in the range from -100 to 100.

In the Reports API, the metric can be returned:

Wellbeing stage

Burnout is an occupational syndrome, the result of chronic stress at work, which has not been successfully overcome. It is important to note the connection of burnout with professional activity: the causes of burnout are always hidden in some kind of work problem. Burnout is characterized by three aspects: a feeling of depletion of energy; an increase in mental distance from your work or a sense of negativity or cynicism associated with work; and a decrease in professional efficiency.

The burnout stage is determined using the Wellbeing index and can be denoted by:

  • No signs of burnout,

  • Early (burnout stage),

  • Late (burnout stage),

  • N/A - is displayed when there is not enough data to determine the burnout stage.

In the Reports API, the metric can be returned:

Wellbeing stage duration

This metric displays the number of weeks since the last change to the Wellbeing stage.

In the Reports API, the metric can be returned:

Wellbeing dynamics

Wellbeing dynamics shows whether or not the wellbeing stage of an employee has changed compared to the previous period.

Data sufficiency

Data sufficiency - is an assessment of the sufficiency of the quantity and intensity of digital communication to determine the Burnout stage. The Data sufficiency can be of these values:

  • Good

  • Fair

  • Poor
